- TravelCenters of America is welcoming Bojangles restaurants to 10 of its locations in Western markets connected with franchisee LVP Restaurant Group, according to a Monday press release.
- The franchisee, which mainly focuses on areas in and around Las Vegas, Nevada, will also bring 20 non-travel center Bojangles restaurants to the city as part of this development.
- This continues TravelCenters of America’s strong focus on foodservice over the past few months, with the retailer improving the fare at its proprietary restaurants while also expanding menu options for travelers.
Back in March, TA hired Executive Chef Maira Isabel to focus on healthier menu items, as well as boost the number of regional specialties the company’s restaurants offered. TravelCenters of America’s proprietary eateries include Country Pride, Iron Skillet and Fork & Compass, the latter of which debuted in February. In July, the company announced new limited-time offers, including a variety of hot dogs and a salmon or chicken dish for those restaurants.
The company also expanded its partnership with Black Bear Diner in late 2022.
While various TA locations have a variety of national fast-food restaurants on premise — including Burger King, Taco Bell and Popeyes — none of its travel centers have had a Bojangles up until this point, according to the retailer’s website.
“To further expand our QSR portfolio, we were in search of a rapidly growing brand with distinct differentiators from other concepts. It was clear Bojangles was the brand we needed,” said Jeanette Davis, vice president of food and franchise brands for LV Petroleum. “Las Vegas has a diverse and vibrant community that appreciates bold and distinctive flavors.”
LVP Restaurant Group is part of LV Petroleum, which is working with developer and investment partner Kingsbarn Realty Capital on all 30 locations, according to the press release.
TA is not the only travel center featuring Bojangles restaurants. Late in 2022, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores announced it was expanding its agreement with the chain.
Westlake, Ohio-based TravelCenters of America, a division of BP, operates more than 280 travel centers in 44 states between its TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express brands.
