Fresno, CA – 28 MAY 2025 - The California Restaurant Mutual Benefit Corporation (CRMBC), the state’s only self-insured workers’ compensation provider for restaurants, ended 2024 with record-breaking financial and membership growth, further strengthening it as an industry leader.
Strong Growth Positions CRMBC for Long-Term Stability
CRMBC delivered a 76% increase in annualized revenue, reaching $20+ million to begin 2025 and covered payroll grew to more than $750 million. CRMBC’s membership also expanded significantly, growing from 121 to 194 certificate holders and from 317 to 552 restaurant locations — a 97% renewal rate that underscores strong member satisfaction and retention. Recent additions to the group include Fam GSM, LLC, Zankou Enterprises, Inc., and Beachcomber at Crystal Cove, among others.
Sustained Growth and Stability
CRMBC’s key objectives are sustaining strong member retention, carefully expanding membership, enhancing benefits, and maintaining financial strength. Specific priorities include:
