McDonald’s will expand its McValue offerings on April 21 with the inclusion of an Under $3 Menu and a $4 Breakfast Meal Deal, the chain said in a Thursday press release.
The value options build on the McValue lineup and the return of Extra Value Meals, both of which launched last year. The chain began adding lower-priced options in 2024 with the debut of the $5 Meal Deal following criticism that its prices rose dramatically in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic. That move was part of a wave of low-priced options launched by QSRs during the summer of 2024.
Consumer perception of the chain’s lack of affordability contributed to a decline in same-store sales in 2024 and part of 2025, a trend which has since been reversed. The chain most recently posted same-store sales growth of 6.8% in the U.S. during the fourth quarter.
“As our customers' expectations evolve, we're making it easier for them to get the value they're looking for — on their terms. McValue offers more choice, more flexibility and more ways to build a meal that fits their day and budget,” Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer of McDonald's USA, said in a statement.
McDonald’s breakfast $4 Meal Deal will offer a choice between a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit and includes a Hash Browns and small coffee. The chain will continue to offer its McChicken Meal Deal for $5 or a McDouble Meal Deal for $6. Each of these meals include a four-piece McNuggets, small fires and a small drink.

The Under $3 Menu will include at least 10 items offered throughout the day. For breakfast, this menu will include classics like the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns or a medium McCafé Premium Roast Coffee.
Lunch and dinner items will include the McChicken, McDouble, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a medium soft drink.
As part of its value offerings, McDonald’s will also sell various items on the menu at lower price points for a limited time. For example, McDonald’s will initially offer the Sausage McMuffin for $1.50 and the McDouble for $2.50. This is a discount of about $1 for the Sausage McMuffin and $0.50 for the McDouble when ordering from an Ashburn, Virginia, McDonald’s.
Prices and participation may vary and the Meal Deal options may be priced higher at certain restaurants, the chain said. These value options are not available for delivery.
