DoorDash has updated its DoorDash for Business platform with a suite of products and features, the company wrote in an email to Restaurant Dive. The aggregator originally launched this platform in 2020, then called DoorDash for Work, as a way for businesses to give meal benefits and food perks to remote and in-office employees.
The upgrades include an insights dashboard, dedicated business support and on-site coordination and business profiles. The platform already offers businesses meal credits, group orders and DashPass membership for administrators and employees, the company said.
The insight dashboard gives administrators an overview of real-time spending, usage and engagement data across teams and locations and eliminates the need for manual tracking. The dashboard offers actionable insights that can help companies manage their budgets while maintaining compliance.
DoorDash now offers business support for corporate customers, including “white-glove onboarding, proactive order monitoring, and dedicated account management,” it said in the email. An on-site support service is also available to help streamline office meal coordination by consolidating deliveries and ensuring a better experience during peak times.
DoorDash also created business profiles, which allow employees to view business and personal orders within the DoorDash app, making it easier for employees to accurately report their orders and receive reimbursement.
Other updates include expense codes that allow administrators to automatically sync their list of expense codes and accurately tag orders for billing. Employees can search for the appropriate code in a dropdown menu at checkout. DoorDash also added a single sign-on and system for cross-domain identity management for enhanced security and streamlined user management.
These latest upgrades come about a week after DoorDash updated its DoorDash for Commerce platform, which now includes the option for restaurants to add a loyalty program.
Uber Eats and Grubhub also offer platforms for business clients to provide meal programs to employees.
